In October, one of our client managers Ben Simper, biked 320 miles from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas desert in just 5 days, to raise money for The Stroke Association. In itself this is a fantastic achievement, but it’s actually just a small part of the fundraising Ben has completed this year. Since February, he has set himself a goal to complete 12 different challenges and endurance tests. And so far, he’s pretty much aced them all.
- Hampton Court Half Marathon – February – DONE
- Palace Half Marathon – March – DONE
- New Forest Spring Sportive – April – DONE
- SkyDive – May – DONE
- Cycle London – July – DONE
- Teddington to Bath 105 miles of cycling and running – September – DONE
- Cycle Grand Canyon – October – DONE
Warmed by the Vegas desert, Ben headed for Dorking this month, to do the ‘Winter Ball Buster’ organised by Human Race. This challenge artfully combines an 8 mile run, 24 mile cycle followed by an 8 mile run around and up Boxhill, and is designed to finish off even the most hardened competitors – Ben included. From the look of him on Monday morning, it was achieved.
We thought you might like to see some of the photos from Ben’s last two adventures. So far, he’s raised over £1,000 for The Stroke Association this year. If you would like to support his efforts, you can make a donation via his JustGiving page.
