Welcome to our October LiveWire.

As you would expect there has been a considerable backlash against the Chancellors Pre-Budget announcement to abolish business asset taper relief in favour of an 18% flat rate of tax.

Various small business groups have been lobbying the Chancellor this week and we would urge you to sign the petition to keep business asset taper relief. The link to the petition can be found by clicking on the first story below.

We are working hard to find ways for our clients to "bank" their existing taper relief entitlement and we will of course keep you updated in this respect.

As ever we would love to hear from you if there are any topics you would like to see featured in future editions of LiveWire!

Kind regards

Lesley Stalker
