'i' VAT - VAT goes paperless

Remember, VAT goes paperless with effect from 1 April 2010! Well, VAT Returns that is. From this date, you will have to submit your VAT Returns online and pay any VAT due electronically.

The only businesses which will be entitled to continue to submit paper VAT Returns will be those with a turnover of less than A100,000 (exclusive). To find out more click here...

Last month HMRC announced the second of its new disclosure agreements, rather appropriately named the Tax Health Plan (or THP), this time aimed at medics.

As with the original offshore disclosure initiative, medical professionals have a timeframe in which to declare their true earnings and thereby the tax payable, without incurring a heavy penalty or further investigation. To find out more click here...
