Simon Paterson is RJP’s audit and business advisory partner. He leads the accountancy and business advisory division, working closely with managing directors and business owners to identify ways to improve profitability levels and all round performance, as well as complete financial audits for compliance purposes. His guidance and mentoring, often working as a Virtual Finance Director, has been instrumental in helping many clients achieve both personal and business goals. Simon Paterson qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1996 and has been an audit and business partner with RJP since 2001.

Corporate Finance Partner
Jamie founded his accountancy practice, Constable James, in 1990. He then created RJP in 1996 following the merger of Constable James and a London-based practice. A Chartered Certified Accountant with expertise in corporate finance, Jamie deals with all aspects of business growth and development, from strategic planning to turnaround finance. In addition to his work with RJP, Jamie also runs a successful Private Equity firm RCapital (www.rcapital.co.uk) which specialises in both growth and turnaround investments.Outsourcing Manager
Jamie Spears heads the managed services function which provides a very wide range of Virtual services aimed at smaller businesses. Over the past 8 years Jamie has worked closely with clients to understand exactly where they typically need to outsource business functions and how best to provide these managed services. For many clients, Jamie fulfils the role of part time Finance Director to ensure the company takes a longer term view of financial performance management with detailed metrics. Accounts Manager
Michael Blay runs RJP’s accounting compliance team. His role is to ensure accounts are completed efficiently and cost effectively, and to assist clients with any queries. Michael has been working at RJP for eleven years and is a part qualified Chartered Certified Accountant.

Company Secretary
As a law graduate and corporate governance specialist, Colette Reeves has experience advising private limited companies about statutory compliance.
Colette is responsible for advising RJP’s clients about company secretarial matters. Most recently, Colette completed the Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme examinations (ICSA approved qualification) and is currently completing a Masters (M.S.c) in Corporate Governance.
Over the past 10 years, Colette has gained extensive experience in board support and statutory and regulatory compliance. She advises clients on a wide range of company secretarial matters including company formation, maintaining statutory records and all aspects of share transactions.

Tax Practice

Lesley Stalker heads the tax team at RJP. Since founding our tax practice over 10 years ago, Lesley has played an instrumental role in developing this area of the firm’s business. Today, over half of all RJP’s clients come to the firm for tax planning advice.
Lesley’s expertise includes tax planning for company directors and businesses, in particular exit strategy planning through a sale or merger. She also works with RJP’s real estate and property clients, providing advice on tax planning opportunities for property related businesses. In addition, Lesley advises high net worth individuals in the areas of property tax, inheritance tax (IHT) and capital gains tax (CGT) planning and investment related tax planning for clients interested in EIS (enterprise investment scheme) and VCTs (venture capital trusts).
Lesley is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.

Tax Director
As the powers given to HMRC and the emphasis placed upon policing compliance has become more aggressive, Anne has specialised in dealing with the resulting enquiries. In recent years, Anne has helped many businesses deal effectively with HMRC enquiries. She has a wealth of experience in dealing with the specific needs of construction businesses and advising on compliance with the CIS rules and subcontractor status.

Tax Compliance Manager
James Hale joined RJP’s tax team in 2010 and is responsible for delivering tax compliance services. When it comes round to annual self assessment tax return time, James is a key point of contact for clients completing personal tax returns.
